About Order of Omega
Founded in 1959 at the University of Miami, the organization has now spread to 492 active chapters across North America. The University of Memphis chapter was founded in 1968 but has been relatively inactive for some time. Requirements for membership are students with at least junior standing and a 3.5 GPA. 3% of our Fraternity and Sorority Community can be initiated annually.

Membership is an honor. This organization reflects students who have achieved academically and have demonstrated a commitment to the values of the fraternity/sorority community at the University of Memphis.

About our Reinstatement of the Chapter.
For our first class of members, we are capping membership at 30 members hoping to receive one from each chapter across all three councils.

Membership costs $50

The objectives of the organization will be explained at the informational session, but include educational workshops focused on career development and how to use your fraternity/sorority experience after college to make a difference in our global society. Induction occurs in the Spring Semester after each member participates in at least three of the four educational workshops/meetings the chapter hosts.
